Thanks girls :-), they look good for so long too don't they, love the way the flowers on this one fade to a pinky colour, really pleased with it in its first year :-)
Amy I did buy a mop head one just the other week for in the wood only a young plant with two flowers but they are huge!!! I've had to support them as they just sag to the ground hopefully be better next year when it gets a bit bigger, its white so seems to glow in the shade :-)

Gosh the heads sound massive Kathy the stems will hopefully be stronger next year I like the white I can image how they stand out in your wood like beacons of light ....

Nice Kathy. I have 3 H. paniculata now. I just cannot get the H. macrophylla type to flower and I love the mop head ones too :-( The hardiest type are paniculata and they have proven to flower in my garden, the flower heads can be huge too, Pinky Winky is so nice at the moment, starts off white and then turns to pink.

I like it too , in fact I like it better than the mop head type it looks more natural if you know what I mean ....
