A little late in the season for crinums, but this was a new bulb for me this year. Growing wild are white and pink types, but this is a darker fuchsia colour.

I also have the "Alpha" and "Old City Cemetary" and "Starburst"; which are growing to flowering size. C. moorei and a light pink one grow wild here, and frost is not a problem, so they are in the ground.

I have grown before but the winter of 2012 killed them all off !!! I did have the newish one white with red stripes "Alpha" and I think the other one was the "4th JulY " which I picked up at a flower show meant to be quite rare in the UK I kept in the greenhouse over winter but with minus ten for several days , and having a cedar greenhouse I coudnt get the door open (froze solid) to refill the paraffin heater !!!
