Fantastic, I like them in summer mixed bunches, but for some unknown reason, thez do not grow in my garden, when I seed them. What sort is this?

I inherited these with the house Alan and have no idea why previous owners planted them. They are pretty why they last but now I cut them down short. There are 5 clumps of phlox in that bed. Pinks and whites.

Katarina, We inherited them with the house so they are more than 10 years old. I like them ...such a pretty old fashion flower. But will have to get rid of them as they attract the deer population. Too bad you cannot have them. I have several bunches.

Maybe they need moisture, which center of the Continent is missing. Moreover, I do not have water supply in the garden. I think lack of water is the main reason why thez do not grow in my garden. But these are fabulous.

We all have to adjust what we can grow , do not we?
I cannot grow them because of wildlife and you cannot grow them because your garden's lack of water. We have very dry summers here. No rain. None... all summer long and there are many water usage restrictions.
We have our own waterwell so we can control our usage.
There are rains during the summer in Central Europe are not they?

This year is very good, as it is hot as usual, but we have also short but heavy showers every other or every third day. I see how this works in case of young trees, some of my cupressocyparises grew up for one meter from April. Last year it was a dry summer.

Before deer ate them. Will replace these next year with a cluster of Echinacea purpurea which they do not care for.
