Arisaema vulgaris

Wolf

Arisaema vulgaris (Arisaema vulgaris)

These lovely little fellows have been coming up around the tap in the front garden. I suspect they like the water from the leaky tap. The foliage is nice with it's green and white shades.

What's this ?

I'm not sure yet to tell the truth. They started coming up around the garden tap in the front yard and the flowers reminded me of little snake heads. So I've nicknamed them Cobra lilies until I can find it in a book.

I had my mother around today to look at the plant Blodyn and she say's they're Arisaema vulgaris. She didn't know if they have a common name or not though. Hope that helps some what. :)

The photo above is a flower in full bloom. They don't open up anymore than that. It looks nice when there are a few flowering because it's just like little snake heads nodding in amongst the foliage.

Thanks Marguerite. You learn something new everyday. I think I'll be taking some of these with me (if and when we sell and move again) because they are rather cute.
