It's done well.

Hi Mouldy yes it has done well. I am tempted to plant it in the garden where it will be a bit protected by other plants but am unsure how deep it should go. I reckon it has earned a place in the open garden to show itself off.

Mine are sprouting now. I'm going to repot them.

Strangely enough Hywel this has been evergreen. I tend to leave Amaryllis to die off but this one did not do that. I do not think it will flower again for Christmas so I will plant it in the garden and hope for the best. It would be brilliant if it flowered outside next summer.

I've never tried them in the garden. They tend to get eaten by slugs.
I hope it flowers next year for you. Maybe it will flower well if it's been evergreen, because it will have had plenty of time to produce a bud :o)

What else?
See who else is growing Hippeastrum papilio (Butterfly amaryllis).
See who else has plants in genus Hippeastrum.

This is a poor neglected Amaryllis left outside over the winter in fact since last Spring. I forgot to bring it in and was surprised to see it flowering in the middle of summer.
