Hibiscus syriacus 'Blue Bird'

This is a lovely shade of blue :)
Does it have lots more flowers than usual this year Barbara ? My blue one is laden with them. It usually has lots, but this year it's doing exceptionally well.

I just bought this one too. It's in a pot in the greenhouse. Lots of buds, but still small yet, no flowers.

Yes, Hywel - more than usual, which is great! My other one has lots of buds on it, as well. That's a double-flowered one.

Go on, Dd - you know you want to, and the GCs are full of them at the moment, so you could choose a good'un. ;-)

No, but I've seen it at Hestercombe Gardens, and actually sent for seeds...to my shame, I found the out-of-date packet just the other day. Tsk, tsk!

Easily done! Would you like me to send you a few seeds, Barbara? They'll need to be saved till the Spring . . . "sow March/April under cover" according to my leaflet.

That's very kind, but I've vowed not to sow seeds next year, for many reasons I won't bore you with.
