Hemerocallis "Christine Walser-Hite"

Hemerocallis "Christine Walser-Hite"

My favourite Hem this year. My photo doesn't do it justice. It's colour was really rich, even in our high temperatures and the texture was just like velvet.

That is a lovely colour and well caught, you can see the velvety texture :-)
We'll be relying on yours and Wylies pictures to see us through the winter Maggie ;-), they've practically finished here now, I might just cry :-(

Mine are nearly done too.....but I can't complain..... they have been flowering since the end of March. Not bad going. I have quite a few photos but I have to admit to being a bit poor with labelling! My excuse is moles and two young dogs that joined the madhouse last year. My two girls (Poppy and Daisy May) are more sensible but Dyson and Benjii roar round like mad things, to the point where I had to put sheep netting round my main Hem bed to stop it being used as a doggy playground!

You have to have this to see what a great colour and texture it has.
You are lucky not to have cats. They never become sensible about anything. All they ever learn is not to do something when I am there, but as soon as I walk away ...

Lol we're dogless at the moment after loosing our lovely chocolate lab 3 years ago now, he was so funny he'd never go on any of the borders unless there was food involved, typical lab, i'd put food out for the birds and the magpies would hide it among leaves or even worse in the daylily bed!!!, he'd go out look round to see if anyone was looking then straight in there scavenging lol, little monkey, sounds like your cats Wylie :-)
I thought I recognised the name of this one its one you sent for from Sheila isn't it Wylie ?

This is one that I got by mistake. It looked a lot better this year than it did last.
My cats like to chase each other, right through the daylilies and then up a tree. I have cut several of the trees so they can sit on the stumps, about 7-10 feet up.
