This is the actual cape chestnut. This tree is typically grown for it's beautiful flowers. Photo taken on Aug. 31, 2014 on Coronado Island, CA.

I'm not sure. I know the seeds are used medicinally. It's in the citrus family (Rutaceae).

I'd like to get some seeds so I can see if I can grow this tree from seed. I had one for many years (in the SF Bay Area) and gave it to my mother when I moved to San Diego.
