Cercis canadensis Forest Pansy with Dahlia

I killed mine this year, Wendy. I had it in a large pot for couple of years and it did beautifully. I decided to plant it in the ground this spring and gave it a place of honour..... in full sun. Silly me. We have exceptionally hot summer this year and the sun fried it (I think). They survive in full sun but have to be established. All leaves fell off. I did dig it up and replanted in more suitable spot but will not hold my breath to see it recover. I love that tree. Might buy another one day.

Sorry to hear you lost yours - they are lovely but not fully hardy here in Scotland. Hope you manage to find another one.
