What ever, it contrasts well with the Camellia, colour, form and shininess.

Dotty why would it not,
grows here in half shade and sun, and divisions seem happy in containers, bought it years ago from Forde Abbey.

We have three, and they were all in part shade, died down to nothing, they have been put in pots now, the roots were fine! I can only think too dry or too wet? they were really good plants when we bought them.....so I cannot blame the plants!!

They will probably recover, I have had them die back prematurely from being dry at the roots they grew again in the following spring.
