Bright cheerful golden yellow blooms that just lights up the garden. Very forgiving if you forget to water it. Prefers - thrives in very poor sandy & dry conditions ( a prairie flower) Self-seeds for the next season. Needs lots of sun. Deadhead for rebloom, but let some go to seed for next season.

Once they settle in, they should be fine. Let the plant reseed for next year.

This is the variety I planted in our daughters garden..I like it a lot..I kept the Sunfire one....I hope theirs didn't get the slug damage that mine has ! Thanks for the tip about soil conditions...maybe mine was just too good for them..I will try and find a poor bit to give them what they prefer..It's in a pot for the time being, but has two open flowers on..so all is not lost...yet !
