I see this one growing along the freeways. It appears not to need tons of water (or grow in water) like most species of Cyperus.

It doesn't. I have it growing in pots and the ground too. However, it is vastly superior in water.

I'm sure it'll loves water. I was actually surprised how well the ones I've seen looked....especially with our severe drought. I've lost several plants this past summer due to the very hot weather combined with the drought. My Deppea was a casualty, as it's now dead!
