Looks like Mrs Popple to me - I have had 2 of these for about 10 years - very hardy.

My Mrs Popple has outgrown her space in the border she's in, I'm going to split her next spring.Have done this twice before, and she still looks good.:-)

Yes, it's Mrs Popple. It can grow very big and sometimes it's a good idea to split it.

That's OK Simbad. Hywel and Gralew - when would you split it - after growth starts in Spring?

That would be a good time. You could also do it in autumn after it dies back.

Thanks Hywel - will give it a go
