I found this beauty deep in the woods on the forest floor, upstate, New York.

Aha found it try Impatiens Capensis (orange balsam) I didn't know there was an orange balsam!!
I found mine on my garden strange I'd remembered to add it lol, mine was Impatiens Racemosa.

I'm amazed you actually know what this is. I found it in such a remote area growing beneath giant towering oaks. Thank You. You go girl!! :)

Aaaw thanks :-), I just googled the one I had to see if it came in other colours and there was a picture of yours on google images, read the info and found it grows in woodland so thought it must be your plant :-))

That's lovely Bathgate, looks like there's quite a carpet of them.
I recognise this you know and am racking my brains!!! I bought something similar a few years ago but with yellow, quite small flowers, I was told it was hardy and would self seed but it wasn't and it didn't, it was a woodland plant, its going to annoy me all day now till I remember lol.
