I know ... all the herbaceous plants were on a BOGOF at the local GC yesterday ... and I had 'Points' to use so I got all four plants for a Fiver ... my kind of shopping bargain!

My kind of shopping too,Shirley..We are going to one tomorrow,as they are having one of their days with the Owls,Falcons etc..and I believe there will be a Tarantula on display..Thomas is looking forward to seeing that Lol..It won't be resting on my hand, that's for sure !

Sandra, I would have joined you for the birds of prey, not the tarantula though! I'm no good with house spiders, let alone one of those.

Thanks Amy, I am trying to include more yellow flowered plants to my garden and am getting there slowly.

TheTarantula wasn't there,as advertised..maybe it is no longer 'available' ,but there was a Scorpion in a box instead, which only showed up,when you shone a little torch inside..it was a black one, unlike the one the crawled over my foot on a Southern Spanish beach once ! I have had no desire to return there either,as even the flies got to my coffee before I did ! what a nightmare holiday :o(

Only you, Sandra, only you! When I was digging the holes for these plants on Saturday, a movement caught my eye at the nearby log-pile ... a large frog was hopping around ... now him I don't mind ... spiders/snakes/scorpions ... no thanks!

Much preferable to my 'nasties' Shirley..The Hotel was miles away from the nearest resort..and used for filming Spaghetti Westerns..ideal for that, but not for us!..No google to check out these places then..:o(..We didn't even see Clint Eastwood ! lol..

Do you know I seem to remember a Spanish holiday years ago where one of the excursions was to visit a film set ... we passed on the offer as the children were very young and it was a fair distance from our hotel. I'm still trying to think where it was!

This was a god forsaken place called Almerimar,on the coast of Almeria,Shirley..about an hours drive from Roquetas de Mar..the nearest resort..I was never as glad to get on the coach back to the Airport..It is probably more built up by now,as Alison was only ten then..but no desire to go back to see !

That was it Sandra! Described as a 'Mini-Hollywood' in the desert of Tabernas, the only desert in Europe. All the spaghetti Westerns were filmed there in the Sixties. I remember getting off the plane, standing by a coach waiting for our transfer to the hotel and sweltering in the heat!

I can't believe we have stayed at the same place,Shirley ! what a coincidence..and that was exactly the description we were given..We weren't actually supposed to be going there,as we were booked for Salou..but a few weeks before,we were told there had been a Typhoid outbreak there, and advised to have the injections ..I had mine, but before Russell and Alison could have theirs it was cancelled..as you previously said,it could only happen to me ! Lol..This place was the only alternative at short notice,or we could have our money refunded, but we decided to give it a try..fools that we were :o(..and to add insult to injury,Salou ended up being the cleanest place of all, after the publicity, and given the all clear before we left...grrr..

I definitely have no desire to return there Sandra .....

We will erase the memories,Shirley..:o)
