lucky you..not one on my one this year...

Now that it's finally flowered I will pay it more attention. It's now indoors for the winter and Rufus knocked it off of the shelf. Strange that the pot didn't break (it's that root bound, I think) Left the pieces of plant that broke off to callous and then I'll have a lot to start...Imagine all those little plants! I didn't scold Rufus as I wasn't there when it happened...he was blissfully sleeping on the shelf when I came home to find the cactus on the desk!

i think i was too nice to mine this year!! it's looking very healthy..i think they flower better is they are a little mistreated..lol

Thanks Almazrose. those blossoms are so exotic. the stamens in the middle look like they are made of fibre optic thread. Have to start the "cuttings" soon.

i can imagine them doing so (fibre optic thread) but functioning with much more ingenuity.
