Mine is having flush of flowers and shedding leaves in the same time, Sheila, It does it every year. Interesting phenomena. Is yours still green?

How extraordinary Klahanie . . . yes, mine is predominantly green, with touches of reddish-brown. I'm pretty sure it's never turned red like yours, which is glorious.

This plant is very mature. We inherited this plant and it is beautiful in spring and fall. It is tall enough that deer cannot reach it. It sits right at the end of the driveway and is welcoming us every time we come home.

That is gorgeous, Klahanie! This is one of my favourite shrubs, but ours doesn't have autumn colour - in fact, it's now having a second flush of white flowers :))
