Aloe tongaensis in the front yard..

I bought this by some stroke of luck not that long after it came into the trade..and it was labeled A.bainsaii.
Its recently been named Aloidendron tongaensis.

That's just an old frond. Plus,old and brushes the Euphorbia ammak on windy days. I just today,had to cut off a perfect frond that had drooped to hitting me in the face walking by. I hated to do it..a perfectly good frond wasted!

You're lucky! Some of the fronds on my Howeas look pretty burned from the many heatwaves.
Yes, I always hate when I have to cut off a good frond!

I see your Howea has gotten a little burned. Is it from the heat? I noticed my trees are all slightly burned from the horrible heatwave of this years.
