I've got one of these and it's been plastered with flowers this autumn :)
Sometimes little red berries form on it, but I haven't tried to eat one.

It never occurred to me to taste them. Then I was told about that fact last year,too late to try. I guess Hy,they might be like mini Dragon Fruit or Opuntia "tuna's"..the basic flavor of most cacti.

My opinion of (Tuna/Opuntia) them is Watermelon juice. Sweet,but not syrupy. Refreshing really especially when chilled.
lol,but thats from the big cacti.

So many of the fruit from cacti are edible and very nutritious. Many cacti fruits are for sale here at the markets here in San Diego.
