These traveller's palms were blooming. It's was a little difficult to get this photo and the flowers because it was at night. Photo taken at Downtown Disney, Anaheim, CA. on Nov. 8, 2014.

It's not a palm. It belongs in the Strelitziaceae family, which is the same family for bird-of-paradise. I do love this plant; however, it grows so much larger than giant bird-of-paradise (Strelitzia nicolai), which is much more common here.

That's a plant that fits Disney perfectly.

Yes, it does. There's 5 or 6 clumps around this building in Downtown Disney. They have gotten tall...the trunks are around 12 - 18' tall.
