Interesting trivia: Last year I only had the Red Maurilii Banana..those red leafs were a bit bitter. This green leaf from "Ice Cream/Java" worked fine. The dish is made of black rice (and plenty of sugar) my wife brought back from the Philippines.

Does the black rice taste like rice pudding?
I have so many varieties of bananas growing in the back and front yard and I never use them for cooking. I know they're terrific on meats for flavor and tenderizer.

I think it does. I never got a taste this year..she took it to the office party. I had to settle for Pumpkin pie and Ice Cream- the one in cartons- not the banana-lol.
