Hi Janey: Yes I have. It is surprisingly delicious. It has a similar taste to raspberries. It has a very thin skin you can peel like a cucumber then slice. I've added it to fruit salads and made smoothies - yum!

Seeds? I never had an issue with seeds. I find the fruit mildly sweet and delicious, and the seeds innocuous.

You can always scoop out the seeds with a spoon, much like you would do for a cucumber.

Mmmm....wonder if you could make a type of jam or jelly with them?

Janey: Yes you can certainly make jam and/or jelly with cactus pear. I know many people do.

The juice is refreshing. Not syrupy or overly sweet. Sometimes it reminds me of strawberry, or watermelon at others.
They probably vary by plant and how hot the summer has been.

Yes I agree. It's very versatile and can be used in a mix or alone over ice as a cold refreshing summer drink. I used to have it with breakfast while living in Africa.
