My very small rain tree. It will never be put in the ground because it will eventually become a gigantic tree. Photo taken Jan. 6, 2015.

I love bonsai plants. It's much too difficult to keep bonsai plants alive here in San Diego....it's way too dry (one or two days without water, dead bonsai! lol!)
I got this rain tree from a Palm Society member. He had a beautiful 15' tree in the ground (which he sadly cut down). He said it was in the wrong spot. His tree grew extremely fast. He was going to plant another tree in a better spot.
