Thanks Tracey, yes beef stew is one of my secret weapons for days like this. It's warming and energizing and seems to taste better on blustery winter days. There always seems to be a big storm on the way

Thanks Tracey. I enjoy the new kitchen immensely. It's hard to recall what the old one looked like. Weren't you contemplating a kitchen makeover?
Yes, Sandra, everything is fair game and a good excuse to clear out the pantry.

So far, you are beating us, but the next, and the next, we will hopefully NOT catch up. The icicles off the gutters are Huge, although ice is not so awful under foot. Cross my fingers on that one. Not a lot going on outside i the garden. Inside, the usual. My giant salmon catus is about to bloom and after that??? I may have to invest.

We always have a storm looming in the near future. "Digging out" seems to be my mantra lately, that's better then being buried alive. Would love to see your cactus when it blooms! What a treat that must be.

Thankfully, we've only had snowy showers with just a sugar coating settling of snow here in East Kent... but it's icy under foot this morning! Beef stew sound scrummy and warming too...:o)
