spot the commando snail

He's a proper 'SAS snail' ...give him a lettuce leaf Sandra, he deserves it!

the buggers love the flesh of this cactus...it did make me giggle though..

They eat mine too. Sometimes they crawl over the spines ! :(
I give them a feed of slug pellets ... I don't mind using those in the shelters where birds can't go.

I started to clean up in the cacti shed today...just picking out the weeds and picking off the snails...when i have been through the lot i will lay a few pellets too Hywel they cause so much damage.

I think I would put up a sign Keep off !! of course it won't work - I use those pet friendly pellets but I don't think they work either !!

i will place an empty beer bottle with some pellets in there to keep the birds safe. but it has to be done as they cause so much damage to cacti..
