lol Sandra, I think seals would be very happy back there - not much else is going on.

Thanks Hywel; I'm doing fine. The New England states really took the brunt of the storms. Boston got over 9 feet of snow - that's past the 2nd story windows. People are snowed in and not able to get out to the market or anywhere. A couple people were found frozen to death under snow drifts. They don't know where to put all that snow, and they are in big trouble come the spring thaw. I got some snow, but not nearly as much and I shouldn't complain. The real menace is the Arctic temperatures. I'm just tired of it already. Spring will be here in three weeks and I'm ready for it.

Thanks Waddy. This is when I finally get to those indoor projects I've been putting off.

How awful for those poor people in Boston,Paul, and to have lost lives because of it..glad you are ok in NY,and hope spring arrives soon for everyone, with no further tragedies..

Thanks Sandra. I hope the worst of winter is behind us. We have a little relief this weekend with temps around 40F. Some of the snow will melt. Hopefully we are back in the norm. Honestly though, I'd rather deal with this, then the drought they are experiencing in California. There are a lot of things we can live without but water isn't one of them!

The people in Boston are seem to be having it particularly bad, that's not to say it isn't where you are, but as far as we know, no one has died. Strange isn't it a couple of things we can't do without, fire and water can also kill. Crack on with those indoor projects Paul, spring will be here before we know it.

I'm gonna get to it. Thanks Waddy! I hope you are doing well too. Yes, spring will be here in about 3 weeks, hopefully we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

We risked it going for a Sunday lunch with the family today, and it started snowing with a gale force wind, just as we were having our meal..and we couldn't even see through the pub window ! We didn't stay for a Dessert, and headed back home to lower ground where it was just raining, and 3 degrees warmer..We couldn't believe that a very elderly couple also thought the same, but the lady was using a walking aid, with her husband holding on to her arm,and she only had a very lightweight type summer jacket and thin trousers on..no coat or hat,and non sensible shoes! We daren't try and get passed them,to get to the car park,as the ground was slushy and slippery..I hope they got home safely, but to go out so unprepared to such a place was a bit daft,to say the least...
Tea,biscuits and a warm house was very welcoming :o)

That woman obviously wasn't up on the latest forecast. Those are the people who usually get into trouble. I'm amazed that the difference between rain and snow was only 3 degrees.

I agree..they must have been in their Eighties..I wear more than she had on,when I'm at home ! Glad to say it is fine, and calm here this morning..which wasn't forecast at all..In fact,it gave it to be the worst day..time yet,as it's still early...
