Painted my terracotta mushroom last week in Fly Agaric colours. Didn't want the frost to crack it.

Thanks simbad, have a fragrant soak, you deserve it. Think how the wood will look next year, a carpet of snowy white. Ps Your Carex "Frosted Curls" sits opposite this paving slab.

That's what I keep telling myself Sirius still several huge clumps to split but filled a couple of areas that were a bit bare so yes it'll all be worth it next year, also found lots of hellebore seedlings to move around when they've grown a bit :-)
All your plants are sprouting in the greenhouse and pleased to say the codonopsis has little red buds poking through, in the process of sorting out a border that I stupidly planted soapwort in omg the stuffs grown into everything !!! we live and learn, when I make sure it's all out I'll be planting lots of your plants in there.

That's excellent about the Codonopsis, was a bit lacking in root as was the Clematis "Etoile Violette". Your Daylilies are starting to show green, slugs are appreciating that!
Yes, some plants outgrow their welcome. I am having a purge on underplanted bulbs, Alliums and now Ipheions.

The clematis has new leaves opening too :-) its in a pot at the moment but want to plant it to grow through a viburnum tinus to give it a bit of colour later in the year, trouble is the viburnums huge and needs a drastic prune it looks so lovely at the moment though so waiting till its finished flowering.
Glad the daylilies are growing, the slugs are having a field day with last year's seedlings in pots here but seem to be leaving the ones in the ground alone.

Thanks Hb, have 2 more terracotta toadstools, which will need repainting sometime. More Agarics or a different paint scheme?
