Hellebore for Amy :-)

Its gorgeous. I have this, it was my Dad's :). I always thought it was H. Niger but I dont think it is now after googling images.

I think it was a self sown seedling,I'd admired a really dark one Amy had and these seedlings were near it so Amy thought they may be the same colour obviously the bees had been very busy but I don't care think this is even prettier 4 more that haven't flowered yet so very excited to see what other surprises I get.
I've told Amy I've put a picture on so she may have a clue as to its parents :-)

Your welcome Kathy I'm pleased for you , its always nice to hear end results as you say I had so many seedlings growing around plants it was difficult to know what was what , I have a feeling this may be Helleborus Orientalis but I have noticed so many different shades this year from pale pinks to darker colours I'm sure they are becoming mixed up rather like the primroses taking on a different hue .. I'm confused myself :o)

Oh lucky you Amy I certainly hope some of mine start to produce seedlings as pretty as this :-)

I have a couple of dark ones which tend to lose them selves in the border which this one wont do , yours remind my of "white Lady"

Thanks Gg :-)I've just googled and it does look like 'White Spotted Lady' maybe not as much spotting but very similar, I'm really getting into hellebores they look good for so long, and the plus side the wood is somewhere I have lots of space, not for long lol.
