Ngaio tree,a Tree of life.

This tree can be very messy. I remember all the black berries which fall from this tree. I don't see too many of this tree growing here. Maybe it's because they don't like severe drought conditions.

I've been told that some of the large ones I've posted on the net over the years are larger then what grows in NZ.
Maybe its the lack of any wild weather here.
There is a mite that has started attacking them in California. Still,I haven't seen any dead plants.

I know this tree can grow very large. It also grows very fast.
