A new one blooming for the first time. There is a large hoof print at the base of this plant where the cow that broke in almost destroyed it.

It has cristate sculpting which gives it that look. It is also 6.5" across.

That is a different daylily. Love the colour too.

If you aren't familiar with this type of sculpting, there is a second set of petals (which makes it a double) and along the midrib there is growth that is equal to the parts on either side (like an upside down T). I had it last year on one, (Color of Innocence × Signature Truffle).

You have cows Wylie? Or were they having a wander?

For a better photo, taken a few hours later, see my Flickr photostream.
Cows are a problem here. They break out and run around causing problems. One smashed a fence I had with barbed wire, ran around through my daylilies, then left through a stone wall. It knocked markers around, stepped on plants, and tried to fertilize a few others. If someone leaves their front gate open, they go in and wreck front yards. If I catch them in my yard, I call the police so I can claim damages - unfortunately I didn't catch this one.

Lovely colour, but it looks like a poppy.
