Introduced by Fratelli Ghiradelli (Italy) and named after his son.
Jordan’ is listed as an Acer shirasawanum but may actually be an Acer shirasawanum x palmatum hybrid.

It is one of the bigger Japanese maples Katarina. I planted it last year and it almost doubled. It can grow up to 30'. I will not see it so tall in my lifetime but I needed a large tree in that location with pale green leaves.
I hope it will grow fast as deer is munching it on the bottom.

I mixed it up with Acer shirasawanum Aureum, this one is more frequent here, but is very slow grower.

Lovely, you have a wonderful collection of shrubs, despite the deer.

We are home for a week and I have not seen one single deer Feverfew. That is unusual.
