It could be your mild winter. I cannot grow all 3 of your photos because it is too warm here. The large daffs die after a couple of years, but jonquils do well. But they are all very lovely, and I'm a little jealous. :)

Could be Wylie, I'm so glad it was a mild winter I grew a chinese foxglove (rehmannia) from seed the plants grew huge so I planted them all out in the wood only to discover they aren't completely hardy! I was tempted to dig them up again lol, but luckily they're fine and have lots of new growth can't wait to see them flower.
There are some advantages to UK weather then, all I need now is dayliles in flower all year like you ;-)
Thankyou Dawn this is just a small patch of the whole thing Dawn my picture was to big to download so I had to crop it .

Sounds great Kathy, I know what you mean, cropping can spoil the pics.

Yes Gg had a lovely day at the flower show, only plants for shade though the woods the only place with lots of space left to fill :-), we bought a big stag ornament too for in there probably need to electrify it lol so no one steals it, Robs got to go to Newark with the trailer to fetch it next week sometime it, think it'll look good peeping from behind a tree :-).We've been looking for something like it for a while.
