I really like this, very kindly sent to me by Seaburngirl last year, I know its a spreader but its planted in the wood and has lots of room, bit of competition for the dreaded cow parsley lol, and of course the bees love it :-)

Three barrow loads of blasted cow parsley today Dawn grrr, Snoop tells me if I keep cutting the leaves off it ll be gone in a year just consentrating on one area this year far to much to do it all so see how it goes :-)
I bought a lovely Fatsia 'Spiders Web' yesterday another that's going in the wood :-)
I'm not sure of the variety Wylie Sbg was given it but after googling think it looks like 'Hidcote Pink' I like the colour too :-)

Oh god Kathy, those white roots are huge, arent they, then most snap off, grrr. I filled the green bin, thought the council might like it. I left the patch I was doing too late, its already swamped the bluebells and it can look worse trampled than left - I must put it on my list of jobs for early next spring. I wish cutting the leaves back was a quick fix but those tap roots? Certainly cutting back the hog weed doesnt work, I wish it did. I will look up your new Fatsia. I really must move my comfrey into the wood next week.

Yes Kathy, they do. I think mine have grown a foot tall in just over a week, darn, if only I had controlled them earlier in the year.

Its strange Dd as I'd seen it in the RHS mag and made a note thinking it would look good in the wood then remarkably a couple of weeks later I spotted it at a local GC the label said full sun so I asked the owner who said it'd be fine in shade , if it doesn't thrive I'll move it lol.

I think it needs some sun so you get more white to the leaves, ours was slow to take but it is off now.......will post a pic should I remember!
