This is popular slowly growing evergreen . 8' in 10 years they say but eventually will grow to 25'. I am afraid I am not going to be here to see it. They also say that grow poorly in heavy clay soils.
Mine is only baby at 2 and half feet. I think it likes sun. I bought it for it's cones. They are very distinctive feature and also beautiful silvery (underside) twisted needles.
This cultivar was introduced in Germany in 1986 by Gunter Horstmann.

thank you for that information,was hoping it might have been altogether smaller ,add to that I am on heavy clay ,best left alone I think.

That looks attractive, don't no anything about them, is it slow growing or fussy about position ?
