they might very well be, HB. I just guessed at geranium. Not opened the pods to see the seeds, I like the little rattles

I've thought of buying some metallic spray paint and giving these the once-over, in different shades, might still do, if I ever get round to finding such paint

I have more that I bought ages ago, nowhere to display them till I get some space! but if this keeps up I'll be able to supply all my own dried arrangements in future.

thanks HB, never thoguht of trying them. got a double-decker Wilco in one of the malls in town. I also want to spray-paint some old CDs so that I can hang them as decorations, singly or in strings. I'll add a(nother!) note to my Wilko shopping list

do you have pictures of the fish? sounds more detailed than I thibk Ican handle :)

I've found Wilco's since my last, and staggered home with about twenty cans of paint! I'll post some of the better results when i find the phootos.
my fance, againsg which i held the items to get them as much out of the wind as possible, has an interestng colour scheme now!
