While most of the (Wild Horses × Heavy Metal) seedlings I have are yellowish, there is one that is smaller but whiter than the others, and was the pod parent to this. Very rich purple eye.

I was lucky there were a lot of flowers today. Yesterday it was rain and wind; and tomorrow it will be more wind and rain.

Sometimes a weather front will stretch from the UK to here, but this is a low over the Azores that is moving east.

Beautiful!
That's good news we don't want any more wind!!,don't know how you stand all the wind you get Wylie, causes so much damage to the garden here, still not much we can do about it.

Today it is a mess out there - droopy old ones and the new ones struggling to open, with no dry pollen. My borders are dedicated to trees that will stand up to the wind. If I tried what you have, Simbad, everything would be quickly destroyed. I have a plum tree that is fairly exposed, and in 20 years, I have had 2 fruits - the wind rips the flowers off. Last year I had to cut back some trees where the loquats are, and I got 3 fruits this year. That is why I insist my daylilies rebloom when there is no wind.
