150422 - Fitted the stones more or less into a rough pattern; I’ll see how they settle down after being walked on a few hundred times before I add some concrete to fix them. Typically, I found a lot more stones that would have been suitable when I dug the other half of bed 1a, but I’d already laid these.

lol it'll be a while, HB - got some indoor stuff to do - new freezer arriving next week, so need to clear the space for it, and get rid of hte old one, and sort out half a ton of "might come in handy" plastic trays and such for craftwork. And then I want to makes ure that the stones are very firmly embedded so there's no slippage.

probably! What i want to avoid is to get consciously "arty" - the pattern that emerged came about purely by accident, I'll leave it at that.

Thanks HB. These were just bits I dug up around the garden;- I was thinking more about fit than colour! but I've found a few more bits that might fit better so i may extend these. And my friend Ron brought me round a sack of coloured gravel to infill the gaps, so i might try making a mosaic! or not, of course
