My first Daylily to flower. Unknown name, from Bros. in laws garden.

Simbad, Have you any idea of a name, it's obviously bog standard. Bros in law knows diddly squat about gardening!

I would hate to make a guess Siris so many yellow ones depends on height flower size etc.
Lilioasphodelus is a species daylily that looks like this and flowers very early the give away is its scented, which most daylilies aren't, so worth a sniff maybe :-)

Thanks, just dead headed this today, if there is one in a couple of days' time and sunny to enable scent to develop, will sniff. Going to Dorset tomorrow. Height about right. Many thanks.
Ps a flower spike nestling in the leaves of 'Dad's ' unknown, so exciting!

Yes to simbad, 2nd flower now and it has a scent, so (lilioasphodelus?) from now on.
Yes to Dd, but not so close to the salty air!

Oh my that's early, my early ones do have buds now but way off ready for flowering, no doubt they'll start when I'm on my hols, daughter and her boyfriend are staying so I'll have to train her with the camera lol.
