Rambling Rose Perennial Blue

Rambling Rose Perennial Blue (Rosa Perennial Blue)

A couple of people asked to see a picture of the flowers of this Rambling Rose which I purchased and planted recently.
I believe it is a relatively small growing Rambler and has clusters of small reddish flowers which fade to a purplish blue.

Oh gosh! It's flowering already! How lovely. Mine isn't even showing any buds yet Paul!

Oh, thanks so much for this.
Isn't it a beauty? Lovely, rich colour and lots of scent you say - perfect!

Not a strong scent but some Wildrose.
It was in a Poly Tunnel at the Nursery Karen. so, I hardened it off in the pot right next to the house for a few days although the poly tunnel wasn't heated.

Well.....it's quite early as it was in a poly tunnel at the nursey. It usually flowers June to October, I believe, Dawn.
Yes , and lots of them, Linda. It has quite a nice scent, too.

Mine is still not flowering! But its really cold here this week. :(

Mine still has one cluster of flowers on it Karen but most are finished now.Hopefully by deadheading, I will have encouraged it to produce new flowering stems.....we'll see. It has been very warm here in comparison to where you are, I think Karen!
I'm sitting here now with the back doors open and a lovely cooling breeze but it has been warm today although the sun has gone behind the clouds just at the moment!
Sorry you aren't getting the sunshine......it must be horrible seeing others get it!

i'm used to it now Paul, and I'm glad you've had some warmth. My rose is a mass of buds though, so next year yours will be too!
