Hard to fill border now almost full

When the old Cherry tree was in full leaf there was hardly any sun getting through to this border and it was very dry because of the canopy of leaves. Since the tree died and we had to cut it down, I have been able to put in no end of plants and the shrubs have begun to flower too. It just goes to show that every cloud has a silver lining....

Yes I understand, as if you are being rewarded for your patience.

Nice looking Heucheras in there HB. What are the red flowers under the old tree trunk please? They look like pinks from here, but my pinks aren't flowering yet.

Looks to me like a garden should look. Plenty of colour, plenty of foliage and I suspect you get a fair number of birds in the garden too. I can just imagine sitting out there on an early summer morning with a cup of tea listening to a cacophony of bird song.

Nice when a border matures like this. The wildlife must love it.
