I'm sorry about your poppies. Did a hungry deer eat them? They don't transplant well at all - with that long tap root. I have a few wild poppies growing in my garden that the robins planted for me. How did they know I wanted poppies there?
Irises need time to "settle in" before they bloom. They may need to mature before they bloom or they need more sun.

I love the colors...My Iris except for pale yellow does not exist in my gardens. It is so spectacular and it just does do well here. Maybe too cold. I plant them and they come up but no Iris! And now someone has dug up my beautiful poppies. I am waiting....
