Tall bearded Iris 'Silent Majesty', a purple self. Bought in 2012, has taken 3 years for it to flower.

Also, I think yours has a brown beard. This is described as aconite violet. The camera has not really captured the true colour, which has no white or black to it. First time I have seen this, I do like it!

Wow, you're right. Mine has a brown/yellow beard. I haven't noticed it until I looked at my photo just now. You've got eagle eyes!
