I am just so overwhelm with ferns on this property I cannot make myself to click "like" button even if I like it.
This one is pretty. Are any ferns invasive in your area Bjs?

The three main ones that grow wild in the garden not ones I introduced are
Hard Shield fern =Polystichum Aculeatum ( I think)
Hart's tongue fern = Asplenium Scolopendrium
Polypodium Vulgare
All three of these have to be regularly controlled ,there are about a further twenty five I have introduced one of which ( name escapes me for minute ) travels underground that is a pest but has lovely bronze leaves so bits of it are left.

That is a very nice fern, I have a few Dryopteris and they have done very well for me without spreading too aggressively. I was mistaken when I thought that was the variety I was looking for though, there is a variety of ostrich fern called 'the king' as well. I think the one you have is nicer, ostrich ferns can really take over an area!
