California Poppy - Eschscholzia

California Poppy - Eschscholzia

I scattered seeds around from choice butterfly plants. This poppy is what came up.

It's a California Poppy - Eschscholzia californica. They are beautiful when there's a clump of them together :)

Freya, my little granddaughter grew some of these last year, she was thrilled to see they've come up again this year.

Thanks for the info Hywel. Several of these have sprouted up. I really like the color and feathery leaves.

I wouldn't mind of all if these came back next year Julia. Are they perennials or do they reseed?

I think they reseed Paul :)

LOL I can't wait to see what else comes up in my butterfly garden. The butterflies will be spoiled rotten this year.
