I scattered seeds around from choice butterfly plants. This poppy is what came up.

Freya, my little granddaughter grew some of these last year, she was thrilled to see they've come up again this year.

Thanks for the info Hywel. Several of these have sprouted up. I really like the color and feathery leaves.
I wouldn't mind of all if these came back next year Julia. Are they perennials or do they reseed?

They are lovely ! I believe they are also called Iceland Poppy , goodness know why ?

LOL I can't wait to see what else comes up in my butterfly garden. The butterflies will be spoiled rotten this year.

It's a California Poppy - Eschscholzia californica. They are beautiful when there's a clump of them together :)
