It's the first photo of my plant but I'm sure that I've posted photos of Sues (the mother plant) and if not I must have posted photos from the botanic gardens.

It looks great! It's amazing it can grow in the ground there.
I've had this shrub for many years. It blooms as early as February and usually through May. My plant isn't looking its best because of the severe drought here.

It is pot grown here Delonix. Sues was outdoors all winter and is coming back from the roots so it won't bloom this year.
I'm sure that it is hating your drought as it is a stream bank dweller in its native habitat.

So, it's a root-hardy plant there.
I water my plant as much as I can. It still needs more...at least it's alive until maybe we receive some really good rains this coming rainy season (if El NiƱo continues to be a very strong one we should get tons of rain).

A pretty plant with lots of flowers ,I don't think we've seen this one before have we Keith ,is it new to you ?
