It is really dark red and off-white not purple and pink as my camera tries to suggest.
Tall robust dahlia with 5" flowers. It is nicer in real life and good cut flower. They last long in a vase. Deer resistant ...but not rabbit resistant. They destroyed many dahlias this year. More rabbits around than any previous years. I did not see the barred owl around yet either. So maybe that is why.

Thank you Simbad and Bloomer. I started to bribe rabbits with carrot shreds :-)
The idea is to let them stuff themselves with carrots and leave my dahlias along. Hope it helps.
