I had no idea what colours I was getting...the cactus ones I'm a little disappointed in the colours...but next year I'll know not to plant them(shocking pink) beside my Monardas (brilliant red) lol.....

Lori If you saw my garden you would think there was an explosion in a paint factory lol I like things to clash, my personal taste

Thanks everyone!... I had planted two of the DP side by side...one kept wilting even when it was raining! couldn't figure what was at hand..tried to stake the wilter and it just flopped...something had undermined the stem just below ground level... took the whole plant and put it in the little spring fountain...and it's doing fine...I think it may even bloom!
Flcrazy: are you back to dry weather again? so sorry to hear that...you've had a very upsy-downsy summer so far, aye? Hope August is better than July for you.

Wow after ayear and a half I'm surprised to have comment on this pic...thanks Gardengnome! How are things in Arizona...? I sure wish I was down there right now...it's terribly cold up here.

LORI, I'M STILL PLAYING CATCH UP- EVEN THOUGH I KNOW IT'S IMPOSSIBLE ON THIS SITE! LOL The temp goes down at night but it's mostly in the mid to high 60's during the day for most of the winter. Our "coldest" month is February and even then the days are sunny with clear skies for the most part.

that sounds lovely... I'm trying to talk my recently retired husband into spending a winter in Arizona or New Mexico...just for a change!
