The snapdragon flowers are a lot smaller, even as compared with 'ordinary' ones, Siris. I am hoping the snapdragon really is perennial. Apparently it was only launched at Chelsea this year - I didn't know that when I came across it at the GC.

The common name for this plant is 'Chinese Foxglove', by the way.

I've looked every where for this plant, it's lovely....

I'm surprised you haven't found any - they seem to be in all the GCs around here.

I grew some of these from seed last year, forgetting it wasn't supposed to be completely hardy I planted all the plants out in our small wood and pleased to say they all survived and haven't stopped flowering since they started in May, know it was a fairly mild winter but they did have a covering of snow a couple of times, great plant love it :-)

Yes, I've seen this one in a few places this year. Not convinced it would overwinter here, but its a beautiful flower.

I looked it up and it's doubtful even here, Karen - 'borderline hardy'. Oh well, it's lovely at the moment. :/

I've grown Rehmannia elata in the past and it will survive an average winter but only in a dry spot.

Thought the thumbnail was an enlargement of the snapdragon flower, so similar!
