It would be great if the Croton 'Petra' was the hardiest..but its not. So this Croton Mammy is as good as they get here for being outdoors all winter..all year actually.
Hard to believe all that green growth will turn red. At least I think it will.
Stan, it looks great! It looks better than mine right now.
Mine has new leaves; however, it needs more water and a bigger pot. My plant has been outside in the back yard for 4 or 5 years.
I've read this may be the best variety to grow outside in the mildest areas of California...because as you know crotons are extremely tender to cool or cold weather. It wants heat, heat, heat all year.
