Thanks Michaella. They do tend to grow rather tall...;o) I've also planted up some tubers in a large pot outside for the first time. I was a bit late in doing this compared to the ones inside - not so sure how they will do.

Thanks Neena. I saw them growing up and over a Parasol at Hampton Court Show last year - It looked pretty impressive! I'm not going to try that...! Just thought I'd give them ago in a very warm sheltered spot. Will keep you all posted as to how they do... :o)

dd don't be worried about Gloriosa - She loves it hot!!! But I've found that she like's her drink ...! ;o) I soak the pot each day which stands in a extra large plant pot saucer. I've found that she lasts well if I make sure this is full of water too...! :D
I've had the door nets for about 3 years now! They do keep the little bugs out! Because we've got double doors I had to buy two and adapt them to fit. The magnets hold them together and are very easy to walk through. Little children and pets find them really easy. I bought them in Homebase. I know they are produced by a wellknown company that sells online... At the moment i can't remember the name! They are worth their weight in gold -I hate fly mess left on the whitework in the conservatory... :o(
Hope this helps.

dd I've just remembered I wrote my very first blog on Gloriosa in 2012 - You are very welcome to have a look at it. :o) I've also remembered the company name! It's JML I've checked online and it is still available. The item is known as a Snap Screen and comes in black or white (I preferred the white as it was for the inside of a white conservatory) priced at £8.99 We've had ours for at least 3 summers now - Haven't had any real probs with it at all, except velcro has lost it's stick so have had to replace it... But after 3 Summers in a hot conservatory what more could you expect! I also found it on Amazon but I don't think it's available in white! ;o) Hope this info helps you.
PS There is a video on the JML website and the info said it was fine for sliding doors too...;o)
